Independent Audit Committee Member

Julie Parker

Julie Parker is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. She has significant experience working as a director of resources and finance at three London Councils over a period of ten years.

Julie is also on the Audit Committee for; the Police and Crime Commissioner and Essex Police' Essex Fire and Rescue Service and Housing Ombudsman Service.

Nicola Scrivings

Nicola Scrivings is currently Chair of Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust, and also Chair of CHS Group. Previous to these roles she spent her career with Royal Mail where she was exposed to a wide range of leadership challenges, not least delivering strategic and operational goals through her responsibilities as a Regional Operations Director leading over 10,000 people, where she gained much of her HR experience.

She is a member of the NHS Trust Remuneration Committee, CHS Group Remuneration Committee, and a member of the YHA nomination panel to recruit new Trustees. Nicola is also an Independent Panel Member for the Judicial Appointments Commission.

Luke Jenkinson

Luke Jenkinson currently works as a senior physiotherapist within Sherwood Forest NHS
Foundation Trust where he rotates around different clinical specialities. As part of this role he is the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Health and Safety Representative for the trust and he also has a keen interest in healthcare leadership. Previous to this he was the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Student Representative for Sheffield Hallam University.

Outside of physiotherapy Luke is a Public Governor at Sheffield Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and is the Vice-Chairperson of Sheffield Trampolining Academy.

Penny Joyce

Penny Joyce is a Principal Fellow with the Higher Education Academy and works as an Associate Head for Education at the University of Portsmouth. An HCPC registrant Operating Department Practitioner and previous HCPC partner for more than 10 years, with significant experience working in quality assurance of education programmes and within curriculum design, planning and approval. This is with both regulatory and professional bodies as well as within higher education with the Quality Assurance Agency.

Penny’s interests lie in the quality aspects of curriculum delivery in relation to the student learning experience for practice placements; with professionalism of aspiring practitioners a particular interest.
