Online payments scam for HCPC registration

We have become aware of fraudulent emails purporting to come from the Royal Marsden Hospital and recruitment agencies, claiming to be working with the HCPC. They contain a link to a website seeking personal and banking information for HCPC certification. The HCPC never sends unsolicited emails via a third party requesting money to be paid into an account.

Anyone who suspects that they have received an unsolicited email that is fraudulent should simply delete it. Anyone who has provided information in response to these emails should contact their bank or credit card company immediately.

Things to remember:

  • Never give out your internet banking credentials via email
  • We only send emails requesting payment to physiotherapists who are applying using the European Professional Card mechanism. These emails contain a link to the secure Worldpay online system.
  • All our emails end with @hcpc-uk.org
  • Full information about the application process for registration is available on our website at www.hcpc-uk.org/apply
